ABOUT RYAN

Ryan Christopher has been singing since the age of 5, when his beautiful, angelic voice was discovered by his piano teacher at Carden Conservatory while studying music in Kindergarden.  At age 7, he attended the America Sings! National Music Festival and was selected as the boy soprano soloist from over 3000 choir members attending the event and performed live on stage with John Jacobson in front of over 5000 people.

In 2005, at age 9, Ryan began attending the Crystal Cathedral Academy and immediately became the featured boy soloist for the school choir and sang numerous times on the Crystal Cathedral “Hour of Power” television broadcast. He was also cast as the Shepherd Boy soloist in the ”Glory of Christmas” which he performed for several years.  He was selected to be the boy soprano soloist for Robert Schuller’s live Christmas broadcast in 2005 singing alongside pianist, Roger Williams, and the Crystal Cathedral Choir and Orchestra.

While attending the Crystal Cathedral Academy, he performed lead roles in many of the schools musicals including the lead role as Peter Pan where he flew through the air on a rigging.

Ryan became a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG, now SAGA-AFTRA) at age 9 and has performed in many TV shows and movies including MONK, Seven Pounds, XFiles, Human Target and Eli Stone.   He has also recorded background vocals for various artists; his latest being the Americana album released by Neil Young in 2011.

Ryan has performed at venues all over the country as a featured soloist including the Pacific Chorale at Segerstrom Center, Concordia University, The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and Carnegie Hall in New York.  He has performed lead roles in Oklahoma, Into the Woods, Les Miserables, Oliver, Fiddler on the Roof, Dorothy Meets Alice, Pinocchio and many others.  He has received numerous awards and scholarships for his vocal talents including the “Maestro Award” for his performance of Leonard Bernstein’s, “Chichester Psalms”, at the National Heritage Festival in Chicago, Illinois.

After graduating from high school, Ryan has focused on the Jazz Standard genre of music including the music made famous by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett and Bobby Darin, as well as some R&B and more current favorites.

Ryan currently devotes all his professional time to perfecting his craft; learning many of the Jazz Standards and songs of the Great American Songbook.

He performs regularly at Baci Italian Restaurant in HB, Somerset Winery in Temecula and many corporate and private events throughout Southern California.
